At last – PR after TWO Years!

The Department of Home Affairs has announced that effective from 25 November 2023, there will be changes to the Employer-Sponsored migration program.

The Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) has requested that the department provide more information on the changes to be implemented that day.

However, it seems that a pathway to permanent residency is finally being introduced for all Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa holders, including those working in occupations on the Short-term Skilled Occupation list.

Applications for permanent residence under the Subclass 186 Employer Nominated Scheme via the Transitional (TRT) Stream will be possible after only two years of working with their sponsors.

More on this as soon as we have the final details.
