Subclass 190 State Nominated Visa
The SkillSelect subclass 190 State Nominated visa is a points-based permanent residence visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian State or Territory Government.
The subclass 190 State Nominated visa is suitable for candidates with occupations on the Medium and Long Term Skills Shortage List (MLTSSL) with insufficient points in the SkillSelect Points Test (Australian PR Points Test) to secure an invitation to apply for a subclass 189 visa. Candidates who are nominated for a subclass 190 visa score an additional five points in the SkillSelect Points Test and once nominated by a State or Territory Government are automatically invited to apply for a subclass 190 visa.
The subclass 190 State Nominated visa is also suitable for candidates with an occupation on the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) who can only apply for a SkillSelect visa if there are nominated by a State or Territory Government.
