The subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visa is for recent graduates who have obtained an eligible qualification through an Australian education provider whilst holding a valid student visa.
The subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visa has two streams; the Graduate Work Stream and the Post Study Work Stream.
The Graduate Work stream is for candidates with an occupation on the Medium and Long Term Skills Shortage List (MLTSSL). Subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visas in the Graduate Work Stream are granted for a period of 18 months.
The Post-Study Work Stream is for candidates who have completed a bachelor degree or a higher qualification at an Australian University. Subclass 485 visas in the Post-Study Work Stream are granted for varying periods of time;
Applicants with a Bachelor Degree are granted a subclass 485 visa for two years.
Applicants with a Masters Degree are granted a subclass 485 visa for three years
Applicants with a Doctoral Degree are granted a subclass 485 visa for four years.
