Book Now From 23 November 2014, the Department of Immigration & Border Protection (DIBP) will accept English language test results from tests other than IELTS from applicants seeking Temporary Graduate, Skilled, Former Resident, and Work and Holiday visas. Student visa applicants have had access to these alternative tests since 2011.
The following alternative tests will be accepted for the relevant visas above:
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based test (TOEFL iBT)
- The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic)
- The Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test will also be accepted from a test taken on or after 1 January 2015
The new tests do not apply to the 457 visa program and only IELTS results will be accepted for the purposes of a 457 visa application.
