Working Holiday Visa – Pay slip evidence now required.

As of 31 August 2015, if you want to apply for a second Working Holiday visa you must provide pay slips to show you have been properly paid for your regional work (called "specified work") during your 1st Working Holiday Visa. According to the Dept of Immigration,

This will help us ensure that work undertaken by Working Holiday visa holders is performed in accordance with workplace law. All Australian employers are legally required to provide their employees with pay slips.

If your work was done before 31 August, you won't require pay slip evidence and there are also some transitional arrangements which the Dept explains as follows:-

The Department acknowledges that some participants will be in the middle of a work placement on 31 August 2015, and might be unable to provide pay slips for work undertaken on/around that date. In this scenario, pay slips will not be required, provided it is clear from the dates on the participant's specified work supporting documentation that the placement was already underway on 31 August 2015.

You'll be able to  upload electronic copies of your pay slips as attachments to your online second Working Holiday visa application.  You can also provide hard copies  attached to your paper application.

Your pay slips must show that  your regional work  was paid  and that the amount you were paid met the basic pay entitlements in Australia.

You will find Australian rates of pay on the Fair Work Ombudsman website.
